Welcome to Zone 7, Inc.

Zone 7, Inc. was founded in 2000 by Lance and Barbara Yuda. Targeting Oconee and Pickens counties, this husband-wife duo are committed to teaching how easy and rewarding a beautiful yard can be when given the right instructions, soil amendment, and the proper plants specific to this area’s climate and conditions.

Zone 7, Inc. is made of three different, but interwined lines of business:

• Zone 7 Landscapes, Inc. (Landscape Design & Build)

The "Zone 7" name is geographically derived from the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Plant Hardiness Zones. These “growing” zones are based on average minimum temperature and serve as a guide for choosing plants that will withstand that region’s climate.

This particular area of South Carolina is considered to be in Zone 7, with an average minimum temperature of 5° to 10° F. Plants labeled Zone 7 and below will tolerate and survive our winter low temperatures.
